To manage locks for a domain: Transfer Lock, Delete Lock, Update Lock.
- Transfer Lock: Blocks the transfer of the domain. The domain cannot be transferred if the lock is enabled. To transfer the domain, lift the transfer lock.
- Delete Lock: Blocks the deletion of the domain. The domain cannot be deleted if the lock is enabled. To delete the domain, lift the delete lock.
- Update Lock: Blocks the update of domain details. The domain cannot be updated if the lock is enabled. To update the domain, lift the update lock.
Here's how to access domain lock management:
- Log into your account
- Select "Domains" on the top bar menu
- Select « Portfolio »
- Select your domains
- Click on the burger menu (3 horizontal bars) or right-click, and select « Locks »
- The domain lock management interface appears, and you view the lock status for each selected domain: lock enabled
, lock disabled
- Click the lock icon for the desired option to lock/unlock, and toggle the lock:
- On the first line you manage the Transfer Lock option
- on the second line you manage the Delete lock option
- On the third line you manage the Update Lock option - To apply the change and send your request, click on the "Change Locks" button. Wait to see the change. A period of time is required for the change to be applied. You can track the progress of your request in the "Open Work" section of the menu bar.
